This photo was taken with a film camera. This photo breaks the rules. This photo breaks both the rule of thirds and balance. This photo breaks the rule of thirds because the TV and the dog (the two most important elements of this photo) are not perfectly placed along the lines or where the lines intersect in the rule of thirds. This photo is not balanced because it is more heavily weighted on the right side, as the right side has the dog and the TV (the two most important elements of the photo). I feel that breaking the rules made this photograph more interesting because it took away from the strictness of the photo to help to bring the dog to life.
