Breaking the Rules #1

This photo was taken with a film camera. This photo breaks the rules. This photo breaks the rule of thirds, balance, and appears to break focus. This photo breaks the rule of thirds because the main elements of this photo (the plant and the three glasses) are not perfectly aligned on the lines or where the lines intersect in the rule of thirds. This photo breaks the rule of balance because it is more heavily weighted on the right side than the left side. The right side of this photo has the three glasses, the plant, and a busy background, where as the left side of this photo only has a simple background. This photo appears to break focus, but it doesn't actually. This photo appears to break focus because the glasses on the right side were lined up to give a slightly blurry appearance to the photo, making it appear slightly out of focus. I feel that breaking the rules made this photo more interesting because it made it different than perfect photographs.
